Objectives of the Course | |||||
The purpose of this course is to examine the scientific research process (problem determination, data collection, data analysis and interpretation of results), to review certain scientific research methods (experimental method, descriptive method etc.) and to ensure that students learn the techniques of finding a research question, establishing a hypothesis, conceptualizing, measuring, collecting data, analyzing data, evaluating/interpreting data and writing reports required for conducting research on a specific topic. In this course, the concept of ethics and ethical theories, research ethics and publication ethics, unethical behaviors will be emphasized. To provide information and awareness about the most common research and publication ethics violations and methods to prevent them, and what the paths to follow in case of a violation are detected. |

Introducing them to the basic concepts of scientific research methods, enabling them to experience the process of preparing a scientific research proposal, providing them with the opportunity to apply their work with appropriate research methods and techniques, and presenting the findings and results obtained with statistical data as a written report in accordance with scientific writing rules and ethical rules. | ||
