Objectives of the Course
Give information about social change, urbanization, industrialization, crime and types. Explain sociological status, role, culture and democracy.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can explain about basic notions of sociology. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-4 4. Can have the skills to define, model and solve the sociological problems in the field of Sociology and related fields.
PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
Examination
LO-2 Can have information about social changes and devolopments. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
PO-13 13. Can know at least one foreign language at B1 level in the European Language Portfolio so that they can follow the developments in their field of study and exchange information or ideas with their colleagues abroad.
PO-15 15. Can aware of the universal nature of social rights, justice, quality management, protection of cultural values and environment as well as occupational health and safety.

Course Contents
Will be given information about social change and development, urbanization and urban issues, crime and crime types, industrialization and social effects, technology and environment effects, war and social outcomes. Will go into detail about sociological status, role, institutions, society, culture and democracy. In the class students will learn about the general and essential information.
