Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course to teach students professional terminology required for the tourist guiding and to use vocabulary correctly. In addition, to provide the necessary pre-knowledge and skills for academic exams such as YDS.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can learn grammar structures in upper-intermediate level. PO-5 Know at least one foreign language at level A2 Europe Language Portfolio.

LO-2 can learn more vocabulary and terms about daily life. PO-6 They can easily apply the theoretical and practical knowledge in the sector that they gained at school and internship .

LO-3 can speak English and make comments about a particular subject or an event. PO-24 They acquire the capabilities to present a subject fluently.

Course Contents
Tourist-guide dialogues, guide narrations, English narrative techniques in tours. Texts on Anatolian historical geography, historical periods, heritage sites, tourism destinations, travel and tourism concepts. Text translations, conjunctions, reading and speaking practices, professional vocabulary for basic preparation for the YDS exam.
