Objectives of the Course
Aim of This course is designed to focus on the behavioral concepts and theories that have been found useful for understanding consumer behavior in tourism industry and their potential applications in the development of marketing strategy.

LO-1 Knows the factors that determine the behavior of tourists PO-1 They describe the basic concepts of tourist guiding
PO-3 They know internal and external environmental factors that affected by tourism and travel companies.
PO-8 They analyze the problems faced by the tourism industry with the help of the theoretical and practical experience they gained and find solutions to them.
PO-21 They follow the innovations related to the profession and constantly improve themselves.
PO-22 They get the general information about tourism and travel activities in the other world countries.
Examination
LO-2 can identify the types of tourists PO-8 They analyze the problems faced by the tourism industry with the help of the theoretical and practical experience they gained and find solutions to them.
PO-13 They get detailed information all the historical sites and touristic places of Turkey.
PO-14 They introduce the cultural and geographical characteristics pf visited religions in the cultural tours to groups by the leadership.
PO-16 They specialize in various religious beliefs, mythology, art history and archaeology and they transferred this information to domestic and foreign tourists during the introduction of their country.

PO-23 They know the history of the different religions and their principles.

Course Contents
Social psychology, cognitive psychology, sociology and cultural anthropology will be emphasized throughout this course with special reference to selected tourism and tourist related topics. These topics include attitude formation and change, information processing, learning, group influences, choice behavior and cross-cultural consumer behavior.
