Objectives of the Course
This lecture includes basic concept and knowledges related to the Botanic to give to the pupils who begin the first semester of Biology education.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Students can learn the content related to the botanical science in a broad sense PO-5 To be able to recognize and evaluate plants produced for medicinal and aromatic purposes by using basic knowledge and skills.
PO-6 Consider ecological conditions of each region and implement appropriate production techniques in Medicinal and Aromatik plants
Examination
LO-2 By defining the important concepts with examples, by associating the definitions with the application, it is possible to get familiarity with the examination of the cell, organelle and tissue specimens in the microscope, the examination environment and the material (systematic name) PO-15 Identify problems in overall scale, analyze and develop solutions, identify incidents and concepts by using their acquired information.
PO-16 Takes responsibility in carrying out a study in the field and solving unforeseen problems encountered in practice.
Examination
LO-3 They may have a more comprehensive and advanced knowledge and understanding of the knowledge, skills and competences they have gained at secondary level in biology, using the course materials and tools, including the latest knowledge of their field PO-14 Evaluate the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of the information obtained.

Course Contents
Improvement in history of cell science. Developmental studies in microscope and its mechanism. Features of plant biology. Chemical and physical structures of cytoplasm. Organelles in cells, special organelles and substances of plant cells. Nucleus, organelles and molecules, genome, chromosome ve DNA concepts, cell cycle, genetical code mechanism. Cell division, mitosis and meiosis. Cell wall. Tissue, description and morphological developments. Dividing and non-dividing tissues. Structural features of tissues. Functions of tissues in high organisation plants, structures of specific cells, stroma ve higroma. Organs, their descriptions and improvements in the plant organisms. Root, leaf and flower. Their parts, features and functions. Positions of organs in high plant organisations (gymnosperm ve angiosperm).
