Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course; It is to give basic information about the first period of Islamic Sects and the religious-political Islamic sects living today, to have information about the reasons for religious differentiations.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Define the definition, subject and purpose of Islamic Sects. PO-1 Can be able to improve and deepen their knowledge in the same or different field based on the graduate level qualifications in their field of study.
PO-7 Can be able to carry out independent studies requiring expertise related to their field of study
PO-8 Can be able to develop new approaches in order to solve unpredictable problems encountered in their field of study.

LO-2 Recognize the main Islamic sects that emerged in the historical process. PO-1 Can be able to improve and deepen their knowledge in the same or different field based on the graduate level qualifications in their field of study.

Course Contents
Definition, subject, purpose, method of the History of Sects; Basic concepts and resources; The reasons for the emergence and formation processes of sects, their basic views, sub-branches, the regions they spread, their effects and their contributions to Islamic thought will be covered.
