Objectives of the Course
The course aims to develop a conciousness towards the conservation & refunctioning of cultural heritage and contribute to the design process of new settings within historical context.

Course Contents
The course covers the chronological development of the conservation concept and conservation policies, the factors that cause deterioration in monuments, the problems arising from new design applications in historical buildings and areas, and the contemporary dynamics of the conservation approach.
