Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to teach students the basic methodology of the chemistry and explain the logic behind chemistry how qualitative concept reaches to quantitative results.

Matter, Elements, Compounds, Mixtures, Naming compounds. Measurements and mole concept: Measurements and units, Measurements of quantity in chemistry, Finding out of chemical formulas, Solutions. Chemical reactions and changing of matters: Chemical equations and chemical reactions, Precipitation reactions. Chemical reactions and changing of matters: Acid-base reactions, Redox reactions. Stoichiometry of reaction, Use of stoichiometry of reaction, Reaction restrictives. Properties of gases: General properties, Gas Laws. Properties of gases: General properties, Gas Laws, Real gases. Thermochemistry: Energy, heat and enthalpy, Chemical enthalpy change, reaction heats. The structure of the atom: Models of the atom, Many-electron atoms. The structure of the atom: Periodic properties of the atoms, Chemistry and periodic system.. Chemical bonds:Ionic bonds, Covalent bonds, Structures of polyatomic types.
