Objectives of the Course
To teach the terms "folk doctor" and "folk medicine", to show the foundations of folk medicine practices, to reveal the course of Turkish folk medicine from past to present, to evaluate traditional treatment methods and practitioners from a structural and functional perspective.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Understands the basic concepts and terms of folk medicine. PO-1 Graduates of Turkish Folklore Department have basic and general knowledge about discipline.
PO-8 They will be able to analyze the basic elements of culture and to take an active role in the protection of the information channels that protect the identity of the society through their inferences.
PO-24 To be able to transfer scientific knowledge clearly and competently.
Examination
LO-2 To have information about folk medicine. PO-1 Graduates of Turkish Folklore Department have basic and general knowledge about discipline.
PO-14 Participates related studies in the field.
PO-22 It promotes the universality of social and cultural rights in the field of humanities, gains consciousness of social justice, has historical and cultural heritage.
Examination
LO-3 SLearn traditional healing methods and understand the methods of folk medicine and folk pharmacy research. PO-3 Learn the theories and concepts of folklore with the epistemological foundations and apply them to the materials they collect in their professional lives.
PO-10 They can reach scientific results that can bring innovation to Turkish Folklore discipline through original academic studies.
PO-14 Participates related studies in the field.
