Objectives of the Course | |||||
At the end of this course, the student will be able to; After the end of this course student; 1. will be able to the scope of adult education 1.1. defines the basic concepts of adult education. 1.2. debates with relating of the basic concepts of adult education. 1.3. lists the varieties of adult education. 2. will be able to analyse the relationship between adult education ant other disciplines. 2.1. questions of the historical development of adult education. 2.2. debates the similarities and the differences of the studies between adult education and the other disciplines. 2.3.assesses adult education management functions. 3. will be able to debate the teaching and learning environments. 3.1. relates the methods and techniques of adult education. 3.2. debates the function of mass media (tv,newspaper etc.) in adult education. 3.3. debates the importance of internet and computer technologies in adult education. 4.will be able to assess adult education cases in the content of adult educaion management. 4.1. compares the cases of adult education in the world. 4.2. criticizes the cases of adult education in Turkey. 4.3. debates the good adult education cases and management of them. 5. will be able to analyse for adult education. 5.1. proposes of needs of society for adult education. 5.2. proposes for becoming widespread of adult education. 5.3. appraises for the effective adult education. |

In this course the following topics will be discussed: The theoretical framework of curriculum development, contemporary curriculum development approaches, the stages of curriculum development, curriculum component and their relations, need assessment methods for adults, curriculum enquiry for adults. | ||
