Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to give information about the basic concepts of music, Turkish Religious Music Culture and Forms, simple and combined modes of Turkish Music, Mosque and Tekke music forms in Turkish Religious Music, and to gain practical skills in these subjects.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Music can define the basic concepts, purpose and types of music. PO-19 To learn the correct usage of basic concepts of Islamic Sciences.

LO-2 Describe the place of religious music among Turkish-Islamic arts. PO-18 To be able to acquire information about the developmental processes of Islamic Sciences.

Course Contents
This course covers the historical development of Turkish Religious Music, the stages it went through during this development process, the forms of Turkish Religious Music and the examples and applications of these forms.
