Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to evaluate the relationship between the structure and parts of chromosomes and diseases and to gain knowledge and skills for making karyotypes.

Course Contents
Molecular structure of DNA molecule, chromosome structure, heterochromatin, euchromatin regions, molecular structure of centromere and telomere regions, autosomal chromosomes and autosomal chromosome diseases, gonosomal chromosomes and gonosomal chromosomal diseases, mitotic chromosomes, polytene chromosomes, lamp brush chromosomes, banding techniques and karyotyping
