Objectives of the Course
To develop an understanding of Management Information Systems which is essential for creating competitive firms, managing global corporations, adding business value and providing useful products ands services to the customers, to understand the importance of MIS for business functions, such as Operations, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources, to demonstrate the use of computer programs and application software exercises.

LO-1 Analyze the information and data descriptions, differences and importance. PO-2 analyze and design at the organizational level, understand the functions of business management that are planning, organizing, execution, coordination and control, describe and apply them, and be acknowledged about modern management techniques.
PO-11 Understand and comprehend market research, information systems, consumer behaviors, strategic marketing, global markets, product and service strategies, product life curve, pricing and supply chain in the points of providing continuity of businesses in the process of globalization.

Course Contents
MIS provide important tools supporting delivery and adding credibility to an organization. This course focuses on capturing information and to store it. It helps students access stored information and manipulate it to the needs of a company. It also aims at controlling flow of information into, around and out of the system. Students will be able to produce reports, manage and track records of work.
