Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to give basic concept and knowledges about occupational health and safety.

LO-1 can explain basic concepts of OHS, can define responsibilities of establishments, institutions and orher parties. PO-10 Student knows project management, workplace practices, employee health, environmental and safety issues; is aware of the responsibility of the legal and engineering applications.

Historical evolution of OHS in Turkey and in the world; aim and significance of OHS, basic concepts; causes of occupational accidents and diseases, precautions which could be taken, costs; general view of OSH in Turkey, responsible organizations, encountered problems, legislation; responsibilities, damages and sanctions in occupational accidents
