Objectives of the Course
The objective of the course is to provide an overview of the production and the social aspects of the knowledge.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can explain the main concepts of the sociology of knowledge. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
PO-3 3. Can develop creative, resourceful in terms of conducting sociological analysis and equipped with the communication and social skills necessary to take part in team work.
Examination
LO-2 Can evaluate the social problems by using the concepts of the sociology of knowledge PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
PO-6 6. Can assess and evaluate the data making use of the advanced knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the field, to define and analyze the issues connected with current technological developments finding ways to offer solutions to those issues based on the researched and evidence.
PO-7 7. Can use the modern techniques and devices necessary for the current practices in the field of Sociology.
Examination
LO-3 Can discuss the social dimensions of knowledge PO-10 10. Can have the professional and ethical responsibility in the process of the collection, evaluation and implementation of the data in the field of study and publishing the results.
PO-11 11. Can observe the current national and international issues.
PO-15 15. Can aware of the universal nature of social rights, justice, quality management, protection of cultural values and environment as well as occupational health and safety.

Course Contents
The social dimensions of knowledge are discussed. In addition, different theoretical approaches in the field of Sociology of Knowledge are examined. The theories and concepts of thinkers working in the field of information sociology are taught.
