Objectives of the Course
To learn the basic concepts and theories of sport sociology, to understand the relation between sports and society and to determine the relation of sport to other institutions.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learns concepts and theories related to sport and society. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
Examination
LO-2 Acquire the relationship and interaction with the society. PO-3 3. Can develop creative, resourceful in terms of conducting sociological analysis and equipped with the communication and social skills necessary to take part in team work.
PO-4 4. Can have the skills to define, model and solve the sociological problems in the field of Sociology and related fields.

LO-3 Learns the relationship of sports with other institutions. PO-6 6. Can assess and evaluate the data making use of the advanced knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the field, to define and analyze the issues connected with current technological developments finding ways to offer solutions to those issues based on the researched and evidence.

Course Contents
Through the sports institution, it is possible to examine a miniature product of social structure. we can see the real power relations, the class contradictions, the differences, the way the political structure works, the sex discrimination, the socialization, the realizations of belonging.
