Objectives of the Course
Middle Eastern countries have the common advantages and disadvantages in terms of economic development. A relatively young population, dependence on natural resources management methods and governance issues, political stability (appetite), such as growth and development factors affecting the recognition of the regional aspect to the private sector and decision-making in the public sector and will help you practice

LO-1 can evaluate theories of economic growth and development. PO-1 have information about basic economic topics and indicators.

LO-2 can analyze the factors that influence economic growth and development. PO-11 have ability on defining economic variables and comment on the relationships between these variables.

Course Contents
Courses will focus on economic growth and development concepts, development theories to be discussed; human capital, social capital, natural resources, corruption, democracy, the brain drain, transnational corporations, foreign aid and borrowing, saving and capital accumulation will be discussed in the context of development and its effect on the development of monetary and fiscal policy will be discussed.
