Objectives of the Course
To be able to learn the features of different periods of Western Art.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Grasp the history of art in a chronological order. PO-5 Students use the accumulation gained from different branches of art and design in an interdisciplinary approach.
PO-11 Students will have the ability to comprehend the visual language and differences of art and design and aesthetic sensitivity and to reflect on their designs.

LO-2 Students will be able to argue the relationship between the concepts of objective reality and virtual reality of art. PO-3 Students will be able to use terminology, problem solving skills, technical and method knowledge to evaluate art and design on a common basis.

Course Contents
Western Art IV. yy.- XIX. century, Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romance, Realism styles are examined with the subjects of architecture, painting and sculpture.
