Objectives of the Course
The aim of this lecture is to teach definition, historical development, application area and the techniques of biotechnology.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain definition of modern biotechnology PO-1 He/she has theoretical knowledge on basic subjects of chemistry, biology, microbiology and biotechnology.
PO-5 He/she makes basic evaluations in the fields of chemistry, biology, microbiology and biotechnology.
PO-10 He/she determines the modern techniques, tools and information technologies required for the applications in his/her field and uses them actively.
PO-29 He/she conveys his/her thoughts and suggestions at the level of knowledge and skills he/she has acquired regarding his/her field to the relevant persons, verbally and in writing.
