Objectives of the Course
It is aimed that students will be able to define and distinguish various concepts related to the phenomenon of disability, to learn the theoretical approaches to disability, to comprehend the social foundations of disability, to penetrate the individual and social problems experienced by the disabled, and to have information about social policies regarding disability.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Explain the similar and different aspects of concepts such as disability, loss of function, disability, being with special needs, and disability. PO-27 Knows basic anatomy and physiology concepts.
Examination
LO-2 Will be able to analyze the social perception of disability and evaluate it with a sociological perspective. PO-30 Explains the interaction of human behavior with the social environment with its basic dimensions.

LO-3 Comprehend the theoretical approaches and models for the phenomenon of disability. PO-29 Benefit from development and personality theories while explaining human behavior.
