Objectives of the Course
To explain cavity preparation, cavity preparation, tools and techniques used in filling, filling materials, enamel and dentin tissue, properties of amalgam and basic concepts about amalgam restorations, and to show the application stages of posterior amalgam restorations and anterior composite restorations.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Explains the conservative dentistry concept and uses terminology and recognizes the instruments used in conservative dentistry PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-13 It performs preventive dentistry practices in the clinic, as well as participates in community-oriented oral and dental health programs and projects to be planned at local or national level, and when necessary, it acquires adequate equipment and supervises or manages it.

LO-2 Defines of dental caries and explains its history, theories, etiology and explains the role of microorganisms in the formation of dental caries PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely.

LO-3 Recognizes Black classification, Black I,II , V, VI cavities of amalgam restorations PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
