Objectives of the Course
It aims to comprehend all dental processes to be applied in order to prevent the cross-over between patients and other employees of some serious infectious diseases in dentistry.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can describe cross-infection PO-2 She/he applies the basic medical and science knowledge she has learned in both clinical and laboratory studies and has problem solving skills.
PO-14 With the awareness of being a physician, it carries out initiatives and practices that prioritize the general health of the society and individuals it serves, including itself, and improve their health status, raise awareness and guide the patient on these issues, apart from dental treatments.
PO-15 It is sufficient to raise the oral health of groups, families and individuals in the society to a high level.
Examination
LO-2 can define infection risk measures. PO-2 She/he applies the basic medical and science knowledge she has learned in both clinical and laboratory studies and has problem solving skills.
PO-7 He/she develops and implements effective strategies to prevent dental and medical emergencies that he/she may encounter in his/her office and is sufficient to determine the attitude to be applied for treatment in case of these emergencies.
PO-13 It performs preventive dentistry practices in the clinic, as well as participates in community-oriented oral and dental health programs and projects to be planned at local or national level, and when necessary, it acquires adequate equipment and supervises or manages it.
PO-15 It is sufficient to raise the oral health of groups, families and individuals in the society to a high level.
Examination
LO-3 can define sterilization and disinfection in dentistry. PO-2 She/he applies the basic medical and science knowledge she has learned in both clinical and laboratory studies and has problem solving skills.
PO-3 She/he can work in interdisciplinary teams in various branches of dentistry and other medical fields and seeks the opinion or treatment of the necessary specialist for medical and dental treatments beyond her ability.
PO-15 It is sufficient to raise the oral health of groups, families and individuals in the society to a high level.
