Objectives of the Course
o define the decoration used in the architecture and handcrafts of Anatolian Seljuqids and Emirates make iconographic analysis and to relate them with the cultural milieu of the period.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 PO-2 To develop and deepen the Art History undergraduate knowledge to the level of expertise.
PO-3 The effects of the environment and natural conditions on the architecture and decoration over time are discussed.

Course Contents
Architectural decoration used in Anatolian Seljukid and Emirates period monuments (stone, brick, tile, stucco, wood, etc). The relation between surface and decoration. Decorations in handcrafts. Ornamentation types, technique, material and composition features. Iconographical analysis of decorations.
