Objectives of the Course | |||||
It is aimed to systematically process the basic subjects and concepts related to Turkish mythology, to establish their ties with other cultural and civilizational elements, and to reveal their relations with the socio-cultural processes experienced today. In addition, the analysis of Old Turkish epics, the richness of Old Turkish Civilization and Anatolian Mythology are revealed. |

Course Contents | ||
Central Asian Origins of Turkish Mythology, Matriarchal and Patriarchal Turkish Mythology, Turkish epics before Islam, cults in Turkish mythology are included in the course. Theogony in Turkish Mythology, Cosmogony, Eschatology myths, folk culture, the connection between folk belief and mythology, legends and epics from Anatolia will be covered in the course. | ||
