To give detailed information about clinical, histological and physiological characteristics of the pulp in healhty and diseased states, Ability to apply this knowledge in laboratory and dental clinic |

LO-1 | can define the aim of endodontics and able to talk about it’s history |
PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life. PO-4 Interprets and evaluates data, defines and analyzes problems, and develops evidence-based solution proposals by using knowledge and skills related to contemporary dentistry. PO-6 She/he uses all kinds of tools to ensure the oral and dental health required by the dentistry profession and has sufficient knowledge about the materials used in dentistry clinics. PO-10 It makes a differential diagnosis, preliminary diagnosis or definitive diagnosis by correlating clinical and radiological examination and other diagnostic tests, and findings in the patient's history, taking into account the social and ethnic history of the patients. PO-11 Follows and evaluates publications at international level, applies their results and evidence-based dentistry in their studies. PO-14 With the awareness of being a physician, it carries out initiatives and practices that prioritize the general health of the society and individuals it serves, including itself, and improve their health status, raise awareness and guide the patient on these issues, apart from dental treatments. |

PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life. PO-2 She/he applies the basic medical and science knowledge she has learned in both clinical and laboratory studies and has problem solving skills. PO-3 She/he can work in interdisciplinary teams in various branches of dentistry and other medical fields and seeks the opinion or treatment of the necessary specialist for medical and dental treatments beyond her ability. PO-4 Interprets and evaluates data, defines and analyzes problems, and develops evidence-based solution proposals by using knowledge and skills related to contemporary dentistry. PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely. PO-6 She/he uses all kinds of tools to ensure the oral and dental health required by the dentistry profession and has sufficient knowledge about the materials used in dentistry clinics. |

PO-6 She/he uses all kinds of tools to ensure the oral and dental health required by the dentistry profession and has sufficient knowledge about the materials used in dentistry clinics. PO-7 He/she develops and implements effective strategies to prevent dental and medical emergencies that he/she may encounter in his/her office and is sufficient to determine the attitude to be applied for treatment in case of these emergencies. PO-9 Follows professional rules and laws, has professional behavior awareness, examines national and international policies and practices related to oral and dental health and evaluates possible results. PO-12 It carries out professional practices focused on patient rights and human values, in accordance with ethical rules and professional responsibility awareness. PO-13 It performs preventive dentistry practices in the clinic, as well as participates in community-oriented oral and dental health programs and projects to be planned at local or national level, and when necessary, it acquires adequate equipment and supervises or manages it. |

This course presents clinical, histological and physiological characteristics of the pulp in healthy and diseased states, the etiology, classification and clinical types of pulpal diseases and their relation with systemic diseases. | ||
