Objectives of the Course
To teach methods of preventing caries, amalgam and composite restorations, deep dentin caries treatments, indirect restorations (inlay/onlay, laminate veneer), restoration of teeth with root canal treatment and excessive substance loss, bleaching treatments, rubber-dam application and patient-doctor communication in adult patients.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Will be able to comprehend the rules of working in the clinic, the approach to the patient and the rules of working on the patient. PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-2 She/he applies the basic medical and science knowledge she has learned in both clinical and laboratory studies and has problem solving skills.
PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely.
Practice Exam
LO-2 Evaluates the caries risk factors in the patient and can motivate oral hygiene. PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-6 She/he uses all kinds of tools to ensure the oral and dental health required by the dentistry profession and has sufficient knowledge about the materials used in dentistry clinics.
PO-7 He/she develops and implements effective strategies to prevent dental and medical emergencies that he/she may encounter in his/her office and is sufficient to determine the attitude to be applied for treatment in case of these emergencies.
Practice Exam
LO-3 It can restore minimally invasive and carious-free cervical lesions. PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-8 She/he has knowledge of moral, ethical and legal responsibilities related to the dentistry profession and sets an example to her colleagues and society with her/his professional identity by using this information.
PO-13 It performs preventive dentistry practices in the clinic, as well as participates in community-oriented oral and dental health programs and projects to be planned at local or national level, and when necessary, it acquires adequate equipment and supervises or manages it.

Composite restoration applications in amalgam and anterior-posterior teeth, restoration of root canal treated teeth and caries-free cervical lesion, protective restorations, deep dentin caries treatments, rubber-dam application, inlay/onlay restorations, demonstration of advanced treatment techniques (restoration of root canal treated teeth with fiber posts, bleaching , laminate veneer), participation in seminars and scientific article presentation, patient-physician contact information
