Objectives of the Course | |||||
This course aims to enable students to determine the causes of work accidents and occupational diseases, to determine the safety precautions in the workplace by gaining knowledge and skills for protection from work accidents and occupational diseases, and to evaluate them with the practices in the workplace by obtaining information about occupational health and occupational safety legislation. |

This course covers the basic concepts of occupational health and safety and historical development concepts; the duties, powers and responsibilities of the workplace doctor and occupational safety specialist in the workplace; risk, danger, primary, secondary, tertiary protection concepts; physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks; Occupational health and safety legislation in workplaces and practices in the workplace. | ||
