Objectives of the Course | |||||
Prenatal and postnatal growth-development, normal and deviating situations, and the ability to approach the function and aesthetics of the maxillofacial system from an orthodontic perspective. Skeletal anomalies and basic analyzes and measurements used in their diagnosis, and to gain the ability to interpret them. PO-4 Interprets and evaluates data, defines and analyzes problems, and develops evidence-based solution proposals by using knowledge and skills related to contemporary dentistry. PO-10 It makes a differential diagnosis, preliminary diagnosis or definitive diagnosis by correlating clinical and radiological examination and other diagnostic tests, and findings in the patient's history, taking into account the social and ethnic history of the patients. |

PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely. PO-10 It makes a differential diagnosis, preliminary diagnosis or definitive diagnosis by correlating clinical and radiological examination and other diagnostic tests, and findings in the patient's history, taking into account the social and ethnic history of the patients. PO-13 It performs preventive dentistry practices in the clinic, as well as participates in community-oriented oral and dental health programs and projects to be planned at local or national level, and when necessary, it acquires adequate equipment and supervises or manages it. PO-14 With the awareness of being a physician, it carries out initiatives and practices that prioritize the general health of the society and individuals it serves, including itself, and improve their health status, raise awareness and guide the patient on these issues, apart from dental treatments.
