Objectives of the Course
In this course, it is aimed to gain the ability to practice animal health in cow, sheep, goat, horse and poultry enterprises and veterinary clinics.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 To be able to apply current information about animal health in cow, sheep, goat, cat and poultry enterprises ; PO-10 Assists the physician in applications (non-invasive drug and vaccine applications) about prevention, control and treatment of diseases.
PO-11 Carries out all kinds of applications planned by the veterinarian.
LO-2 To be able to apply animal health knowledge in dog, cat, etc. hobby animal husbandry ; PO-6 Recognizes clinical examination, imaging devices and surgical instruments and supports the veterinarian during the safe use of these devices.
PO-10 Assists the physician in applications (non-invasive drug and vaccine applications) about prevention, control and treatment of diseases.
PO-11 Carries out all kinds of applications planned by the veterinarian.
LO-3 To be able to learn metabolic diseases seen in dairy cattle and prevention methods PO-2 Interprets vital signs of animals and performs basic first aid in appropriate cases.
PO-6 Recognizes clinical examination, imaging devices and surgical instruments and supports the veterinarian during the safe use of these devices.
PO-9 Provides requested assistance to veterinarian during clinical examination, application of imaging methods, surgical applications ( management and administration of animals, monitoring of patiens under anesthesia etc.)
PO-10 Assists the physician in applications (non-invasive drug and vaccine applications) about prevention, control and treatment of diseases.

Course Contents
This course covers herd health and hygiene, dairy cattle and dairy herd registration systems, Calf Diseases. Prevention, Calf vaccines, Ketosis, Fatty Liver Syndrome, Hypocalcemic Birth Paralysis, Hypophosphatemia It covers information about ways to prevent metabolic diseases such as bedridden syndrome and bedridden syndrome.
