Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide students with experience and skills in the field of clinical sciences, to increase their knowledge and ability to solve the problems they will encounter in the clinical field, and to teach the patient, patient owner and physician relationship.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learns the approach and control of farm animals PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-2 Interprets vital signs of animals and performs basic first aid in appropriate cases.
PO-6 Recognizes clinical examination, imaging devices and surgical instruments and supports the veterinarian during the safe use of these devices.
PO-8 Gives pre and post-operative period care to hospitalized animals
PO-11 Carries out all kinds of applications planned by the veterinarian.
PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.
Examination
LO-2 Observes the disease and health status of animals and has preliminary knowledge. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-2 Interprets vital signs of animals and performs basic first aid in appropriate cases.
PO-3 Registers, prepares the test materials and tests under the supervision of responsible physicians.
PO-8 Gives pre and post-operative period care to hospitalized animals
PO-9 Provides requested assistance to veterinarian during clinical examination, application of imaging methods, surgical applications ( management and administration of animals, monitoring of patiens under anesthesia etc.)
Examination
LO-3 Knows the hygiene measures to be taken against animal diseases. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-2 Interprets vital signs of animals and performs basic first aid in appropriate cases.
PO-4 Recognizes parasitic infections and assists the veterinarian in further studies (vaccination, hygiene measures, medication etc.) for controlling the patients with models of infectious disease transmission.
PO-6 Recognizes clinical examination, imaging devices and surgical instruments and supports the veterinarian during the safe use of these devices.
PO-7 Prepares and uses institutionally determined dietary protocols.
PO-8 Gives pre and post-operative period care to hospitalized animals

Course Contents
This course is to give basic information about the clinic, general clinical information, examination methods of the systems (head, neck, thorax, abdomen, extremity and urogenital) information, introduction of the tools that can be used in the clinic, methods of approaching the patient, restraint methods, information about the diseases. taking samples from animals, general information about the disease etiology, clinical findings, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment methods, anamnesis, signalement, habitus evaluation and recording, preparation for the operation (preparation of the patient, the operator and his assistants and the operation materials), injections, punctures, incisions, bleeding, It covers information about stopping bleeding, ligature and drainage, suturing, dressing and bandage.
