Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to learn to recognize pet animals, to interpret their behavior and to learn the applications to be made to pet animals.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Knows the cat and dog breeds. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
LO-2 Knows and applies the rules of care-feeding and general breeding in cats and dogs. PO-7 Prepares and uses institutionally determined dietary protocols.
LO-3 Knowing the temperaments of cats and dogs, advises animal owners about their education. PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.

Course Contents
This course includes general information about canine diseases, general information about cat diseases, general information about exotic birds and their diseases, zoonoses and prevention, preparation of pet animals for examination and operation, vaccine and drug applications, hygiene and care, clinical hygiene, clinical equipment and instruments. The introduction includes care and hygiene.
