Objectives of the Course
To make students understand the development of humanity from the first men to 20th century.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the basic developments in the history of civilizations PO-1 Has knowledge of basic research methods and principles in Social Sciences at a level to conduct independent research.
PO-3 Has basic information about the main actors of international relations and the rules of the international system.
PO-4 Has a command of the basic concepts in the fields of history, sociology, economics and law at a level to do interdisciplinary work.
PO-6 Has the skills to analyse theoretical knowledge about International Relations and its sub-branches (international economy, international politics, international law, international organizations, international security, history of diplomacy, foreign policy, etc.) and to evaluate their global and regional reflections, to define problems and to offer solutions.
PO-7 Has the ability to both interpret events with critical and analytical thinking and to produce solutions to problems with scientific approaches.
PO-9 Has acquired the skills to examine Turkey's position in world politics in a historical perspective and to define current problems.
PO-10 Has a command of the basic conceptual and theoretical framework in the field of International Relations at a level to make analysis.
PO-11 Can determine needs for learning and direct the learning process by critically evaluating the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of International Relations.
Examination
LO-2 can identify the refelctions of the socio-cultural accumulations of the civilzations on contemporary IR PO-1 Has knowledge of basic research methods and principles in Social Sciences at a level to conduct independent research.
