Objectives of the Course
This course aims to introduce the key concepts and practices of EU foreign policy. It covers historical development and current stage of EU’s foreign policy, and main arenas that EU’s foreign policy targets.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Pay attention to the sensibilities of European Union. PO-6 Has the skills to analyse theoretical knowledge about International Relations and its sub-branches (international economy, international politics, international law, international organizations, international security, history of diplomacy, foreign policy, etc.) and to evaluate their global and regional reflections, to define problems and to offer solutions.
PO-11 Can determine needs for learning and direct the learning process by critically evaluating the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of International Relations.
LO-2 can connect the European Union and foreign policy. PO-1 Has knowledge of basic research methods and principles in Social Sciences at a level to conduct independent research.
PO-3 Has basic information about the main actors of international relations and the rules of the international system.
PO-11 Can determine needs for learning and direct the learning process by critically evaluating the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of International Relations.
LO-3 The projects about European Union enables the student participation willingly. PO-3 Has basic information about the main actors of international relations and the rules of the international system.
PO-7 Has the ability to both interpret events with critical and analytical thinking and to produce solutions to problems with scientific approaches.

In this course, students who have already studied EU’s historical background, will focus on EU’s Common Foeign and Security Policy and, its relations with different regions in the world, in particular.
