Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to convey to the students the basic topics covered in the field of Social Psychology, human behavior and the variables that affect this behavior in the social environment, the basic theories and approaches of the field, within the framework of the researches (in the context of domestic and foreign literature).

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can comprehend the basic issues in the field of Social Psychology. PO-24 Explains the interaction of human behavior with the social environment with its basic dimensions.
PO-31 Makes use of other disciplines (Psychology, Sociology, Law) that form the basis of social work and uses the knowledge related to the subject areas.
Examination
LO-2 can describe human social behavior and its causes. PO-23 Makes use of development and personality theories while explaining human behavior.
PO-24 Explains the interaction of human behavior with the social environment with its basic dimensions.
Examination
LO-3 can comprehend the methods and techniques used in the field and adapt these techniques and methods to new research questions. PO-5 It offers evidence-based solutions to the problems in the field of social work by using scientific research methods.
PO-20 It shares its thoughts and solutions to problems with individuals, groups and communities at different levels through written and verbal communication channels, by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data.
Examination
LO-4 can relate the results of the studies in the field with the events in daily life. PO-8 Using the knowledge gained in the field of social work, puts forward solution-oriented studies for the existing problems in the society.
PO-13 Collaborates with other colleagues in the team by an interdisciplinary approach in social work interventions.
PO-23 Makes use of development and personality theories while explaining human behavior.
PO-24 Explains the interaction of human behavior with the social environment with its basic dimensions.
PO-28 When individuals encounter problem situations, they find effective solutions and use the right intervention methods.

LO-5 can explain the relationship between Social Psychology and other social sciences. PO-4 Evaluates the developments with a critical view by using the theoretical knowledge in the field.

Course Contents
This course includes; social psychological research methods, social perception, social cognition and cognitive attributions, the self, social influence, attitudes, and basic concepts such as attitude change, the evaluation of the studies in the field of social psychology in terms of method and technique, the examination of the variables behind human behavior, the relationship between social psychology with other social sciences and the importance of this relationship.
