Objectives of the Course
The general aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills about necessary theoretical and historical information about family counseling, problems and problem situations that can be handled in family counseling, current family counseling theories and practices, techniques and strategies used in family counseling.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the traditional theories in family therapy. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
Examination
LO-2 can explain the modern and current theories in family counseling. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
PO-18 Follows the current information, sources, up-to-dates, conferences, seminars, workshops and activities. Plans and rules similar works accordingly.
Examination
LO-3 can explain the application information of different technique and strategies in family counseling. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
PO-5 Uses all the knowledge and skills which are necessary for establishing, lasting and ending the professional psychological counseling relationship with the individuals.
