Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to give basic skills about aiming athletics branch and to give specific technical knowledge of each branch. Students will gain basic skills in the field of athletics after taking this course.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can do the basic branches of athletics. PO-1 He/She has an advanced level of basic conceptual knowledge in the fields of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis, taking into account the reflections in practice.

LO-2 Can use the steps in the learning of the basic branches of athletics. PO-3 In the field of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis, it takes responsibility at the individual level and as a team, and takes initiative when necessary, to solve any problems or problems that may occur in the field.

Course Contents
It includes introduction to track and field disciplines (sprint, hurdles, shot put, javelin, discus, long jump, triple jump, high jump, relay race, distance runs), general and technical information about these disciplines, teaching of these disciplines both theoretically and practically.
