Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce the geology of Cappadocia to our students who carry out education and training activities in the center of Cappadocia.

Course Contents
Basic geological concepts (minerals, rocks, plate tectonics, volcanism), geographical and geological location of Cappadocia, geological evolution, rock types and physico-mechanical properties of Cappadocia, Fairy chimneys and their forming models, underground cities and problems, geological heritage, geosite and geopark concepts, Göreme National Park and important geosites of Cappadocia
