Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach the distinguishing features of precious and semi-precious ornamental stones on the crust and to inform the geological environments in which they developed.

Internal structure of the earth and formation of rocks, mineral definition, classification of minerals, physical properties of minerals, definition and history of gemology, formation environments of ornamental stones, classification of ornamental stones, properties that ornamental stones should have, precious and semi-precious ornamental stones in Turkey, ornamental stones industrial use, tools used in the field of ornamental stones
