Objectives of the Course | |||||
To explain the effects of psychology on the development of sportive performance, to apply mental training methods at a basic level, and to gain the knowledge and skills to use the basic knowledge gained in the field of psychology to increase the performance of athletes. |

LO-1 | Defines the basic concepts related to the field of sports psychology. |
PO-1 He/She has an advanced level of basic conceptual knowledge in the fields of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis, taking into account the reflections in practice. PO-2 Interprets and evaluates data using advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the fields of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis, defines and analyzes problems in parallel with current technological developments, and develops solutions based on research and evidence. PO-3 In the field of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis, it takes responsibility at the individual level and as a team, and takes initiative when necessary, to solve any problems or problems that may occur in the field. PO-5 He/She has the competence to evaluate and apply the data obtained during her education in the field of Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning and Performance Analysis in business life. PO-9 Takes responsibility, individually and as a team member, to solve complex and unpredictable problems in the field of Sports Sciences. PO-10 In the field of sports sciences, he/she develops the professional knowledge and skills of the people she works with and evaluates their performance. |

The field of sports psychology, its subjects; personality, motivation, arousal, stress and anxiety in sports; competition and encounter psychology, group and team dynamics, group cohesion, leadership and communication in sports, psychological skill training, attention, perception, focus, processes that negatively affect sports performance: burnout, overtraining, unhealthy behaviors, addiction, violence and aggression. | ||
