Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide information about basic knowledge and techniques in text analysis by using it in the translation process and to improve students' text analysis skills by using this information. Translation process. Text types. The role of the translator in the translation process. What is translation analysis and how is it done? Translation methods. Dependence on the source text in translation and consistency between the source texts and the target text. Simple and compound sentence translation methods. Simple and compound sentence analysis. Applications of research methods in the translation process. Proverbs, idiom analysis and translation methods. Translation focused on target language and culture. The importance of style in translation. Target text criticism are the topics that will be covered in this course.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can read a variety of different text types with good understanding and relative facility. PO-2 To be able to have basic and specialized knowledge about the language and history of the cultures taught
