Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide an awareness of the historical development of orientalist studies in the West, especially Islamic studies on Sufism.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the historical course of research on Sufism in the West. PO-3 To have a satisfactory knowledge of the history, concepts, institutions, philosophy and main figures of Sufism.

LO-2 can explain the reasons for the main debates on Sufism in orientalist literature. PO-3 To have a satisfactory knowledge of the history, concepts, institutions, philosophy and main figures of Sufism.
