Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide information about the components of the oral microbiota, periodontal diseases and infections of the oral cavity.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Provides classification and understanding of microorganisms seen in oral flora and diseases. PO-1 To explain sufficient knowledge about the biological events that occur in the oral environment in normal and pathological conditions.
PO-2 Ability to integrate acquired knowledge with clinical departments
PO-3 Having multidisciplinary approach skills in patient-centered practices
PO-4 Creating projects on oral biology, conducting experiments and converting them into articles
PO-6 To have the ability to use the necessary techniques and modern medical tools for laboratory applications.
PO-7 Ability to follow developments in oral biology, lifelong learning and self-renewal
Examination
LO-2 Explain the etiology and pathogenesis of dental caries and endodontic infections. PO-1 To explain sufficient knowledge about the biological events that occur in the oral environment in normal and pathological conditions.

PO-3 Having multidisciplinary approach skills in patient-centered practices
PO-5 To have the ability to apply general and verbal analytical methods
