Objectives of the Course
The main aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the concepts of interactive arts and interaction design. Evaluation of new media elements used in interactive art works and evaluation of technical features as well as conceptual framework constitute the basic structure. Interaction design principles are evaluated through practice and projects.

Course Contents
The course is structured into three parts. The first part focuses on the evaluation and comparison of the conceptual and technical features of interactive artworks. It is also intended to analyze interactive design and delve deeper into the history of code art and transactional design. The second part concentrates on interactive design applications with the 'processing' scripting language. Students will introduce interaction programming. They will be able to get ready for the final project by improving their skills with homework as well as in-class practices. The third part covers the development and evaluation of the final project. Each student chooses a title and concept to realize an interactive design.
