Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce the basics of information technologies to pre-service teachers and to enable them to have the knowledge of computer systems and peripherals and the general characteristics of operating systems and the skills to use basic office programs. At the end of the course, students will have knowledge and skills on the history of the computer and the use of word processing programs, spreadsheet programs and presentation preparation programs.

Course Contents
This course includes information technologies, the development of information technologies over time, the basic concepts of software and hardware, operating systems in general, word processing programs, spreadsheet programs, presentation programs, internet use in education, the effects of information technologies on social structure and its place in education, informatics. systems security and related ethical concepts.
