Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts of statistics and their use in solving related problems.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can explain the concepts and ideas related to statistics. PO-3 Explains the concepts and the relations between concepts related to the field at a level that can meet the needs of the students.

LO-2 Can apply the statistical research process (formulating research questions, collecting data, organizing, summarizing, representing, analysing, interpreting and making inferences). PO-2 Has the information about the nature, source, limit, accuracy, validity and reliability of knowledge.

Course Contents
This course covers sampling, organization and analysis of data; sampling distribution and estimation; confidence interval concept; interval estimate for the difference of two population means, interval estimate for the ratio of the two population variances, interval estimate for the binomial parameter p; It covers hypothesis testing, correlation and regression.
