Objectives of the Course
In line with the general purpose of recognizing and learning folk music, one of our traditional music genres; To understand the theoretical structure of folk music, to be able to sing it, to make solfeggio, to write dictation and melody, to transfer it.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Recognizes instrument types and instruments in Turkish folk music. PO-1 Basic scopes of programs related to Music and Performing Arts in their own departments
PO-5 Has the necessary knowledge and equipment about the history of Turkish and Western Music.

Course Contents
Combined methods. Practice studies in compound methods. Rast quadruple and quintet, rast (mustezat) sequence. Solfeggio dictation and melody creation exercises in Rast scale. Hejaz (Garip) quartet and quintet, Hicaz series. Solfeggio dictation and melody creation exercises in Hicaz series. Kurdi quartet and quintet. The Kurdi (Bozlak) TV series. Solfeggio dictation and melody creation exercises in the Kürdi series. local dialects. Vocalization of samples from various regions. Turkish form types. Vocalization of various forms. Saba (calender) quartet and series. Solfeggio dictation and melody creation exercises in Saba series. Segah quartet and quintet, segah sequence. Solfeggio dictation and melody creation exercises in Segah series. Hüzzam quartet and quintet, hüzzam series.
