Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and abilities they need to protect and enhance mental health at school within the context of psychological counseling and guidance services, hence enhancing the educational and training processes.

LO-1 Defines the basic concepts of mental health PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.

PO-22 Makes connections between psychological counseling with other social science branches (sociology, anthropology, philosophy... etc).
PO-29 Gains awareness about normal and abnormal behaviors and the dynamics of the behaviors of indivuals.

The definition of mental health and related concepts, mental health according to psychology schools, factors affecting mental health at school, mental health at school and humanistic education approach, mental health at school by developmental stages, and the relationship between cognitive and affective learning and mental health.
