Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to raise awareness about environmental problems. In addition, within the scope of the course, it is aimed to design educational activities related to the solutions of environmental problems.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Analyzes the underlying factors of environmental problems. PO-2 Uses information and information resources related to the field effectively.
PO-10 Has knowledge of the nature, source, limits, accuracy, reliability and validity of information.
Examination
LO-2 Designs activities for the solution of environmental problems. PO-1 Uses teaching strategies, methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation instruments, taking into account the learning outcomes, by adapting them to student development characteristics, individual differences and needs.
PO-6 Makes planning, arrangement and evaluation in accordance with educational objectives and student needs in the light of social sciences and findings, theory and practice information related to social studies education produced by social sciences.
PO-12 Has knowledge about students' development, learning characteristics and disabilities.
PO-21 Has knowledge of students' developmental characteristics, behavior management, learning styles and disabilities.

Course Contents
Basic ecological concepts and principles, ecosystems, food chains, food web, habitat, competition; common life and mutual living, energy flow, circulation of matter, population growth, ecological impact, erosion, soil and water resources, environmental awareness, studies on environmental awareness in the world, institutions and organizations; environmental education in secondary education programs.
