Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to develop the knowledge and skills of social studies teacher candidates about measurement and evaluation that they will use in the evaluation of classroom learning.

LO-1 Be aware of the function of measurement and evaluation in education PO-1 Uses teaching strategies, methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation instruments, taking into account the learning outcomes, by adapting them to student development characteristics, individual differences and needs.

PO-20 Has the knowledge of developing strategies, creating teaching programs and preparing teaching materials in line with the information he or she has acquired
Examination
LO-2 Explain the basic approaches and techniques used in classroom assessments. PO-1 Uses teaching strategies, methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation instruments, taking into account the learning outcomes, by adapting them to student development characteristics, individual differences and needs.
PO-2 Uses information and information resources related to the field effectively.
PO-12 Has knowledge about students' development, learning characteristics and disabilities.

Measurement tools used in education and their features; tools based on traditional approaches: Written exams, short answer exams, true-false type tests, multiple choice tests, matched tests, oral exams; Tools for getting to know the student in multiple ways: Observation, interview, performance evaluation, student product file, research papers, research projects, peer assessment, self-assessment, attitude scales; Points to be considered in the evaluation of student success; assessment and grading of learning outcomes.
