Objectives of the Course
To comprehend the Turkey's population properties of Turkey, to discuss economical problems concerned with the growth and settlement of population, to contact relation between the settlement areas and the type of settlements, to know agriculture, husbandry and other economical activities, to learn the problems and to discuss solving them.

The students who succeeded in this course:

Course Contents
Population geography (past and present increase, distribution, density and factors affecting the world population, censuses, policies, migrations, languages, religions, races, cultures and cultural regions); settlement geography (development and distribution of settlements from the first settlements to the present and the factors affecting them; classifications of settlements, functions); economic geography (fields of economic activity: sectoral classification according to their characteristics, development and geographical distribution, factors affecting its development and distribution, interaction of economic activities with the natural and human environment, and problems specific to the field of activity and environmental problems arising from this interaction).
